Abstract

This chapter presents various sources of information and literature that may be useful for individuals and institutions in the developing countries dealing with solar energy applications. Access to literature and information on solar energy matters is easy in the developed countries, and in most countries, the service of the public libraries is free. The technical libraries usually possess most of the generally available literature on solar energy matters, whether it is in the language of the country itself or in foreign languages. There are also large book importers in all the developed countries, and as there are usually no restrictions on purchases of books in foreign currencies, it is relatively easy and fast to procure any book from any country in the world. In the developing countries, conditions are different. There are few public and technical libraries, and as their funds are usually very limited, they only possess little literature on solar energy matters.
