Abstract
This chapter establishes an accurate microvibrations model of the precision spacecraft using tri-orthogonal reaction flywheels. To isolate microvibrations of reaction flywheels, both passive and active isolators are designed. Investigation on their isolation performance is performed. The results indicate that the passive isolator is effective under high frequency disturbances, and the active isolator based on LMS filter method is effective under mid-frequency disturbance. Finally, the active isolator is developed. Experiment results show that more than 90% vibrations are isolated by the active isolator.
