Abstract
The XenDesktop Setup Wizard is a small but significant subject; operationally, it enables rapid bulk creation of virtual desktops. This chapter takes a look at what is required for the wizard, the templates on the various hypervisors, and then the installation of the wizard. The XenDesktop Setup Wizard is a very important implementation tool, without which, the creation of virtual desktops would be an arduous, time-consuming task. The XenDesktop Setup Wizard requires a Template Virtual Machine to base the hardware configuration on. Depending on where one wants to write cache, one can either have a diskless virtual machine, or a small write cache disk attached.
