Abstract

This chapter discusses the mechanism, affecting factors, numerical analysis, and evaluation methods of liquefaction under the action of earthquake and wave. Combined with sandy soil distribution, wave, earthquake, and other factors, the discussion analyzes the potential liquefaction areas in China Seas, and conducts the liquefaction possibility discrimination for several typical areas in them. Based on the summarizing of liquefaction failure form, with the common submarine pipeline and pile foundation in marine engineering as example, the prevention measures and countermeasures for liquefaction are presented.
