Abstract
The unique property of polyaniline (PANI) that it can be processed without altering its structure by blending it with some other polymers made the researchers to show considerable attention in the synthesis of different kinds of PANI/biopolymeric composite materials for wide range of applications. In this chapter, various forms of PANI/biopolymeric composite materials prepared by blending of PANI with other materials such as cellulose, bacterial cellulose, chemically modified cellulose, chitin, chitosan, chitosan-metal oxides, and starch have been discussed. The application of these composites has been discussed. Further we presented a composite prepared from PANI and seaweed extract obtained by solvent-free method.
