Abstract

Customer service quality varies greatly from country to country. This chapter begins by discussing differences in customer service quality between communist and capitalistic societies. It then reviews market structure and why it differs between rule-based countries such as the United States and relation-based countries such as China. It also compares trade flows between rule-based and relation-based countries, and discusses barriers of selling in relation-based countries.
