Abstract

COVID-19 has largely been brought under control in China since it first appeared in 2019, but there are still sporadic outbreaks. Cold chain links may be one of the key routes for SARS-CoV-2, the virus which causes COVID-19, to spread. Preventing the spread of the virus along the cold chain will also become a part of global epidemic control in the postepidemic era. Through a comprehensive analysis of the import cold chain, this chapter analyzes the risk and infection path of COVID-19 in the cold chain process. Based on the remarkable achievements and experience of cold chain prevention and control in China, this paper puts forward a risk control mechanism, standard implementation mechanism, scientific monitoring mechanism, and cooperative prevention and control mechanism for cold chain logistics and personnel prevention and control, so as to provide feasible suggestions and a reference for virus transmission prevention along global cold chains.
