Abstract
Pomegranate, or Punica granatum, is a fruit that grows in tropical and subtropical climates across the world. India leads the world in pomegranate production, followed by Iran, China, and the United States. Pomegranate is cultivated on 131.00 ha of land in India. The production of pomegranate has been increased from 772.450 thousand (th) ton to 2865.00 th ton during the period of 2012–19. The increased knowledge of pomegranate's health advantages has resulted in a tremendous demand, which is predicted to reach USD 23.14 billion by 2026. Pomegranate fruit contains polyphenols, which are micronutrients with antioxidant effects found naturally in plant.
