Abstract
This chapter reviews the literature on red, blue, and green and white organic light-emitting diode (OLED) devices. It also reflects recent advances and critical tactics used in designing OLED devices for flat-panel displays and solid-state lighting. As reviewed, OLEDs are expected to create the foundation for solid-state lighting in the next 3–5 years.
