Abstract

Natural convection under the influence of a magnetic field is of great importance in many industrial applications such as crystal growth, metal casting, and liquid metal cooling blankets for fusion reactors. In this chapter, the behavior of nanofluid in existence of constant magnetic field is presented. Two-dimensional governing equations are derived. Control Volume-based Finite Element Method (CVFEM) is employed to solve the governing equations. The influence of Lorentz forces on nanofluid treatment is examined.
