Abstract

This chapter discusses decision processes, and fuzzy mathematical programming and applications to management sciences. Decision issues include the modeling of preference by means of valued relations, multiple criteria aggregation, decision making under uncertainty, and group decision making. Orlowski's paper deals with reflexive max-min transitive fuzzy binary relations and shows that such a fuzzy preorder has undominated elements. Ovchinnikov has studied indifference and strict preference relations associated with a fuzzy binary relation under various transitivity properties. Roubens' paper pursues the same line of research on fuzzy binary relations and highlights degrees of domination of alternatives associated with a fuzzy relation and a triangular co-norm.
