Abstract
Submarine pipeline is the lifeline in the exploitation of marine oil and gas resources. In recent years, with the continuous development of the offshore oil industry, submarine pipeline has been widely used in the offshore oil and gas exploitation. Submarine pipeline is the fastest, safest and most economical and reliable means of transporting oil and gas continuously. Submarine cable includes power cables, control cables, signal monitoring cables and so on. This chapter especially introduces submarine pipeline design, laying and construction, the riser system and pipe cable engineering. It starts by introducing the category and characteristics of the submarine pipeline. It then introduces the design of the process, strength and stability. The following explains the riser system, the construction and corrosion prevention. By the end of the chapter submarine pipeline engineering is fully discussed.
