Abstract

This chapter deals with the structural design of continuously welded rail (CWR) turnouts. It discusses the structural characteristics of CWR turnouts, including the basic requirements of CWR turnouts, transmission path of temperature force, and force transmission structure. It also discusses the calculation theories and design methods for CWR turnouts. The stress deformation rule and influential factors of CWR turnouts are emphasized. The structure and stress characteristics, as well as design and calculation verification of CWR turnouts, have also been highlighted in this chapter.
