Abstract
Treating tuberculosis (TB) is a challenging task, and patients need to take heavy medicines for at least 6months, although most symptoms will be relieved in a few weeks. This results in default and irregular treatment and ultimately leads to the proliferation of drug-resistant Mycobacteria. It would be desirable to shorten the length of the treatment, both to improve compliance and ultimate prevention of drug-resistant tuberculosis (DRTB). This chapter attempts to study the TB treatment patterns that aim to achieve a quick and successful regimen.
