Abstract

This chapter deals with how geometrical factors influence the transfer of electrical signals in biomaterials or how different parts of a measured volume contribute, for example, to the measured impedance. The concept of sensitivity field distribution is described and numerical analysis, such as the finite element method, is introduced. An overview of electrical impedance tomography is also given.
