Abstract

This chapter provides a brief overview of the latest features available in Windows Server 2008 as well as detailed descriptions of the fundamental principles of these objectives and how to apply them to the newest version of Windows Server. It discusses the many new and powerful changes to Microsoft Windows Server 2008 that include innovative enhancements to networking technologies and network access configuration. This also includes the routing of network topography using static and dynamic routing, and the differences between the two. In addition, the chapter emphasizes the latest changes to protocols and core networking components, wireless and 802.1X-authenticated wired technologies. This includes network infrastructure components and services that can be applied when using Windows Server 2008. Configuring routing, configuring remote access, network address translation, and many more are briefly discussed.
