Chapter 5 - Summary and prospects

Abstract

This book is introduced with the development history of medical imaging. We first described the origin and concept of radiomics. We also discussed core value and method flow of radiomics with its key technologies. The wide clinical applications of radiomics in auxiliary diagnosis and treatment were additionally described. Finally, four classical cases were used to further clarify the relevant knowledge of radiomics. In this chapter, this book will be summarized, and prospects will be described in terms of various aspects of radiomics, including its clinical application, medical big data, and lesion segmentation.
