Abstract
There is a great need for the development of robust, reliable methods for the quantitative determination of vitamin K. This chapter provides an overview of the important principles and practices relating to vitamin K measurement in diagnostic and research settings. It include what we feel will be helpful for laboratories in the setting up of analytical methods and also in the interpretation of the results. The difficulties and limitations of the methods are also discussed. Our goal is to give the reader several successful examples of methods used for the assessment of vitamin K status.
