Abstract

Medical institutions in Korea are classified according to various legal standards. Health insurance is divided into primary and secondary medical institutions; but, the medical delivery system is classified into tertiary institutions such as clinics, local hospitals, and general hospitals. Thus a unified classification constructed by interlinking the related categories is required. In this study, a knowledge model for representing medical institutions and their characteristics based on related laws is proposed, and a knowledge graph that includes all medical institutions in Korea is constructed. In particular, this graph can be interlinked to heterogeneous data sources such as administrative districts, thereby enabling users to identify appropriate hospitals or other institutions according to their requirements.
