Abstract
National, state, and local council guidelines are provided by various agencies for planning, technical design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of water sensitive urban design (WSUD). Also referred to as best management practices, low impact development, green infrastructure, sustainable urban drainage systems, and low impact urban design and development. Despite the different nomenclature in different parts of the world, their concepts and functionalities are similar. Chapters 1 and 2Chapter 1Chapter 2 have described these WSUD systems/approaches in detail. This chapter lists some of the publicly available national, state, regional, and local design guidelines. The WSUD systems covered in these guidelines come primarily from regions where these systems are frequently implemented. The guidelines cover WSUD system planning and design methods.
