Abstract
Deep profile control of multiscale DPG particles is a newly developed chemical water control technology. To give full play to the role of DPG particles in deep profile control, it is necessary to study its application performance. In this chapter, an investigation was carried out on their basic properties, matching the relationship with the pore throat of the reservoir, and performance of the profile control. Its profile control mechanism was revealed from both macro- and microperspectives, so as to provide theoretical support for its application in the oilfield. Three typical oilfield application examples were also shown which provided a reference to profile control in other similar mature oilfields.
