Abstract

As indicated in several chapters of this book, at the international level, the warns that loneliness is one of the problems that threaten the mental health of older people. In this situation, it is proposed to promote their health through health and social programs specifically aimed at vulnerable populations, such as the case of older people who live alone, in order to prevent situations of social isolation or loneliness. We remember that mental health is a key piece to be motivated, predisposed to do things, to feel alive. Without a doubt, the best drug to prevent it is being active, feeling useful, participating in society as an active member.
