Abstract

This chapter is focused on the most common techniques reported for the preparation of lead halide perovskites (LHPs), emphasizing their fundamental, pioneer examples, advantages, and drawbacks. Moreover, oversight of the recent advances in the most used techniques is provided. The synthesis approaches for the fabrication of LHPs for potential application in photovoltaic and optoelectronic have been classified into two main sections: thin-film technology (physical, chemical, and hybrid methods) and colloidal nanoparticle synthesis (bottom-up and top-down methods). Finally, a summary of the synthesis routes and an outlook on the future direction of the topic will be provided.
