Abstract

Solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) is a promising technology in energy conversion and management. Recently, its combination with other technologies has raised much interest all over the world. In this chapter, the numerical simulation of hybrid systems based on SOFCs is introduced. Detailed cases including the utilization of waste heat from SOFCs, the on-site solar-fuel-to-power generation and carbon-neutral fuel production, are discussed. These systems show the advantage brought by the SOFCs, which have the potential to be a core component in the future.
