Abstract

The University of Wolverhampton has undertaken an ambitious programme of investment in a Digital Campus. This is a transformation programme, and culture change has been achieved through collaborating across traditional ‘service’ and ‘academic’ boundaries. The chapter reflects on the lessons learnt from the implementation of one project in particular: a new virtual learning environment. The author highlights the leadership attributes required for successful collaboration, and considers their application in the academic library context. The author offers an analysis of the ‘ingredients’ for successful collaboration.
