Abstract

Progress towards the understanding of creativity depends on empirical research. This in turn depends on psychometric methods. These methods are reviewed in this chapter. Reliability and validity are key. There are various kinds of reliability and validity, and each of these are particular applications. Psychometric principles apply even when the research does not depend on a test, as is apparent from the various examples of research cited herein. Quite a few tests are described in this chapter as well.
