Abstract

Additive manufacturing (AM) has been increasingly applied in manufacturing firms due to its unique capabilities. Recently, sustainable AM has gained importance due to several advantages such as design freedom, generation of light-weight geometries, enhanced product functionality, improved resource efficiency, ecofriendly designs, and so on. Sustainable AM has a key role in Industry 4.0 systems. This article presents project selection for sustainable AM as multicriteria decision-making problem with three alternatives and 18 criteria. Fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is applied to prioritize the projects based on expert inputs. The priority order of projects is derived. The practical implications are highlighted.
