Abstract

Multicomponent reactions (MCRs), performed with metal-based nanocatalysts, have undergone an explosive progress in recent years. The one-pot character of MCRs conveys smaller amount of side products with lower costs, time, and energy. These advantages of MCRs, along with high efficiency, selectivity, and recyclability of nanocatalysts, enhance the scope to generate many catalytic systems toward the synthesis of imperative organic molecules under green reaction conditions. This chapter focuses on the efficacy of nanocatalysts in mediating a wide variety of multicomponent reactions, which gratified several aspects of green and sustainable chemistry.
