Abstract
This chapter is focused on catalytic processes for hydrogen production. After an overview of the processes involved in hydrogen production and purification from natural gas, processes using various other possible feedstocks (hydrocarbons, biomass and derived oxygenates, biogas) are described, as well as the thermodynamics of the reaction. The second part of this chapter is devoted to the design of the active and stable catalysts for efficient hydrogen production.
