The design point is a primary parameter in solar thermal power plant design and can be referred to when defining the area of the concentration field, thermal receiver capacity, thermal storage capacity, the rated capacity of the power generator unit, and the power plant’s annual power output, as well as other key parameters such as the efficiencies of various equipment.
