Abstract

Although previous studies have reported on the effectiveness of mild hypothermia of the brain in childhood-onset acute encephalopathy, there is no established clinical evidence. Here, we discuss the experimental evidence and introduce aspects pertaining to this treatment for acute encephalopathies in childhood.
