Abstract

This chapter closes the Knowledge and Communication section of the book. It illustrates why transformation of process safety information into knowledge that is effectively communicated throughout an organization represents a key paradigm of loss management in the process industries. Resources from a broad scientific spectrum, topical conferences organized by professional associations, and engagement of experienced practitioners are all helpful avenues to avoid process incidents—no matter how weak the warning signs may seem.
