Abstract
The futurnoe of aquaculture is related to smart cities. The use of the Internet of Things on sustainable aquaculture systems will enable the optimization of water, energy, personnel, money, time, and food. The topics related to aquaculture and smart cities could be the Internet of Things in sustainable aquaculture systems, real-time monitoring of water quality, the development of forecasting systems in an aquaculture context, a sustainable fish farming system framework to make aquaculture more sustainable by reducing the need for energy to control the environment using Internet of Things (IoT), aquaculture 4.0, automated aquaponics system, access and control of pH level and temperature through the IoT, and others.
