Abstract

This chapter is based on a case study about how Loughborough University Library has reviewed its use of physical space and the resulting revisions made on how the space is developed. The context is provided about how the University Library has moved to digital delivery whilst at the same time fundamentally altering its building. There is a reflection on the space reviews and revisions that have taken place since 2006. Different approaches to gathering evidence will be explored as well as a reflection on the results of the revisions and the lessons learned. It is concluded that the University Library building refurbishment would not have been so effective if it were not for the service review and revision process.
