Abstract
The case study describes a review of the SCONUL statistics prompted by the need to critically appraise and assess the future relevance of the data in order to support the work and decision making of SCONUL members. A consultative approach, using a survey and workshops, was used. The outcome was a significant reduction in the number of questions for the return, which has led to a greater engagement by SCONUL members and higher completion rates.
