Abstract

Multiple uses of sorghum as four diverse f's coupled with its climate resilience and carbon neutrality are increasing the demand of sorghum both agriculturally and industrially. Many technologies and inventions are being carried out that are regularly patented and commercialized in the fields of food, medicine, industry, others techniques such as genetic transformation and tissue culture, in addition to gene sequences, agronomic practices, and other methods to improve the yield and utilization in sorghum. Information on this is scattered, but a comprehensive list would facilitate the researchers and academicians to know the state of art, to evolve more and prepare in the right direction. We have made an attempt to compile the information on sorghum patents, which includes the priority date, title, names of the inventors, and the assignees including the abstract.
