Abstract

Patients who suffer from hip fractures present a significant loss of life quality and high morbidity. A solution for this problem is a surgical insertion of a femoral implant, which its success is dependent on the osseointegration of the prosthesis. Fortunately, the bone is a highly active tissue that continually renews itself along life, being able to interact with the implant through bone remodeling.
