Abstract

This chapter delivers a wide understanding of ocean dynamics from the point of view of quantum mechanics. This chapter starts with the quantum mechanics of seawater molecules and ends up with large-scale ocean wave propagation as described by the Hamiltonian equation. Needless to say, the two-dimensional water wave equations have been generalized in Cartesian coordinates and also in cylindrical coordinates. Conversely, a Hamiltonian formulation within a certain flow region for shallow water and Hamilton's canonical equation wave are investigated in the wave-particle propagations.
