Abstract

In the past decades, nanotechnology has become one of the most attractive research fields for scientists and engineers worldwide. This is because of its vast applications in various fields of research, such as health care, water, energy, science, technology, agriculture, built environment, and manufacturing industries, as well as the potential commercialization of nanoscale products. Due to an increasing shortage of clean water, energy, and greener methods to produce high-value-added fine chemicals, nanoadsorbents have received more attention in the synthesis of fine chemicals, wastewater treatment, and energy storage and conversions. In this chapter, the classification of nanoadsorbents, along with their synthesis and industrial applications, has been discussed.
