Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to the simulation of human intelligence in machines. AI is bringing forth a revolution and becoming a transformational force in health care. This research aims to determine AI’s status in health care in India and studies the adoption of AI using a technological-organizational-environmental (TOE) framework. This chapter reviews the literature to identify TOE factors and presents results from the authors’ survey-based research in hospitals in India. The authors analyze the data using exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and structural equation modeling (SEM). Results confirm the proposed hypotheses. This study is helpful for healthcare industries in the adoption of AI.
