Abstract

This chapter is concerned with the entrepreneurship and financial sector in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It deals with the issues of specificity of conducting business activity in the UAE and provides the market SWOT analysis. Foreign investors' business perspectives as well as business legal issues are discussed. Moreover, the characteristics of the UAE financial sector and financing opportunities in the UAE, the most common sources of financing business activity and public policy toward enterprises, are taken into consideration. Finally, the examples of the Polish business ventures in the UAE and their experiences and concerns related to the legal and contractual issues are presented.
