Abstract
This chapter addresses recent developments and future trends in coating technology. It provides a comprehensive analysis of ultrathin film fabrication techniques including physical and chemical deposition techniques. The chapter also discusses different characterization techniques which are commonly used for ultrathin films analysis. Last, conventional and advanced coatings for industries, packaging, aeronautics, and sensors were some of the application fields for nanostructure thin films and nanocoatings.
