Abstract

Ionic liquids have good corrosion resistance and attracted more and more attention in recent years. However, in the research and application of ionic liquids, especially in dynamic environment, there are still some problems such as corrosion resistance, thermal oxidation, lubricity, and so on. To solve these problems, researchers used the designability of ionic liquid structure to prepare functional ionic liquids with corrosion resistance and wear resistance in dynamic environment. To reduce the leakage of ionic liquids under dynamic friction and reduce serious mechanical wear, ionic liquids are prepared in gel state, which can respond to dynamic shear and temperature. Aiming at the surface anticorrosion and lubrication of light metals, ionic liquid and surface treatment technology are combined to form ionic liquid–based composite coating, which further improves its performance and industrial application.
