Abstract

Because of their high natural abundance, biodegradable polymers are free of high processing costs, advanced neutralization procedures, and are easier to isolate. Sensible biodegradable polymer nanocomposites have received a lot of attention as potential fuel cell materials. Such materials are commercially viable for fuel cells and may help to mitigate the negative environmental impact of a significant global power crisis. In this context, this chapter discusses the developments and future prospects of biodegradable polymer nanocomposites that could be used in fuel cells. The primary focus is on the various types and properties of fuel cells, which can play an important role in the development of various biodegradable polymer nanocomposites for successful and efficient applications. Furthermore, the synthesis techniques and types of biodegradable polymer composites are discussed in light of their potential as fuel cell materials. The main goal is to provide an overview of the authors' contribution, recent advances, and future prospects in the field of biodegradable polymeric nanocomposites for fuel cell applications.
