Abstract

The G-EVER Asia-Pacific region earthquake and volcanic hazards mapping project aims to develop an advanced web-based hazard information system that provides information about past and recent earthquake and volcanic hazards online. The Asia-Pacific Region Earthquake and Volcanic Hazard Information System shows the distribution of Holocene volcanoes, calderas, large-scale ignimbrites, tephra falls, and fatalities in major volcanic events. It also provides information about the distribution of earthquake hypocenters and source regions, tsunami inundation areas, active faults, and fatalities due to earthquake events in an interactive and user-friendly interface. The vector data of the Eastern Asia Earthquake and Volcanic Hazards Information Maps can be displayed and downloaded using the hazard information system.
