Abstract
Readily available natural products with a small compact frame are very suitable as a starting material as they are sustainable. Furthermore, the synthesis of their derivatives is an important challenge in improving the diversity of the compounds to search for new biological activities. In this chapter, the concept of natural materials-related diversity-oriented synthesis “NMRDOS” is explained. Examples for biocatalytic NMRDOS are also described in detail.
