Abstract
This chapter deals mainly with the maintenance and management systems of Chinese high-speed turnouts. The management policies and maintenance standards of Chinese high-speed turnouts are first introduced, and several calculation methods for track quality assessment are given in detail. Then, high-speed turnout inspection and monitoring technologies, including track dynamic inspection car, rail detection car, and turnout inspection systems, are introduced. Maintenance technologies are also mentioned here. In addition, the application of Permanent Way Management Information System (PWMIS), developed independently by China, and Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety (RAMS) in the management of high-speed turnout in China are detailed in this chapter.
