Abstract

Human Factors Guidance (FDA, 2016) indicates the usefulness of identifying known use errors prior to beginning medical device design. In studying these issues, further understanding can be gained regarding the range of harm associated with use error and enables the development team to incorporate safety by design and reduce the probability of occurrence or harm associated with use error.
