Abstract
This chapter describes air deck, smooth blasting, and presplit methods. The following topics are discussed in detail: principles and parameters of air deck; mechanism of decoupled charge; effects of air deck and decoupled charge on rock fracture; shock wave attenuation in stemming; and principles of smooth and presplit blasting.
