Abstract

There are different conventional and innovative reuse/recycle opportunities for the materials that have been used in the nuclear industry and are not currently needed. These materials include unconditional and restricted, cleared, radioactive, and nuclear materials. Despite several reuse and recycling practices have been implemented successfully in this industry, there is still a need to support these practices as an essential requirement to achieve successful implementation of the waste minimization programs that are needed to support the sustainability of the industry. In this respect, the factors that affect the reuse/recycle of these materials will be highlighted and some perspectives on the factors that affect the applicability of these opportunities will be presented.
